SunFest is a four day festival celebrating the summer solstice. We host the event on privately owned land near Vernonia, OR called Ffynnon. The land is run using permaculture techniques. We must be gentle to our Mother and be respectful of the land on its own terms.
Though by no means conclusive, the following is an overview of the activites that happen during SunFest.
- Rituals to celebrate the summer solstice.
- Workshops to explore, expand, and enlighten.
- A Sacred Fire in the Dionysus Grove nightly.
- Children’s Workshops (We ask when your children attend the activities that they have an adult in attendance with them).
- Raffle Fairies fluttering with tickets.
- Potluck dinner on Saturday evening.
- Potlatch Gift Exchange on Saturday evening.
- Hiking on the numerous and beautiful trails around the site.
We are very excited to be able to introduce our speaker for this years SunFest. He will be teaching multiple workshops during the event and is also taking part in our ritual this year.

This is a rustic camping event – you’ll need to bring your own camping gear as well as food. We also recommend you bring plenty of water, however, there is one potable water spigot. Recommended gear includes the basics (a tent, sleeping pads, air mattresses, or cots, sleeping bags, and a camp kitchen including table(s), chairs, a propane stove, and a shade canopy. A hand truck or garden cart is also useful, though we do have a limited number of these available for all Community members’ use to pack in and load out.
We provide porta potties on-site. Ffynnon has installed on-demand hot showers nestled in a grove of shrub trees for your bathing enjoyment. Please bring and use biodegradable soaps only.
Vehicles are allowed in the parking area only. There will be a few hand trucks and carts to help you move your gear across the field. If you have a hand truck or cart please bring it. There are a limited number of dry RV spaces available, and preference for their use will be given to ADA campers.
Festival goers that register by June 1st will receive a detailed Festival Packet prior to the event via email. This packet will include detailed information about the event including workshops and the ritual. There may be a limited supply onsite as well.
We host a Sunday Brunch for all overnight attendees. Come enjoy a meal prepared by us as a gift to you. The menu will be finalized shortly before SunFest and typically includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and fresh fruit.
